Cupping Therapy

Cupping is an ancient healing therapy which can help with pain, blood flow, inflammation. The air inside the cup creates a vacuum which causes your blood vessels to expand. This causes the body to send more blood vessels to the area, stimulating the natural healing process. The cup remains on the skin for up to 3 minutes and results in a red circle. Cupping became more well known after the 2016 Olympic Games as spectators began to notice the red circles on athletes bodies.
Conditions Treated: Arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, back, neck, knee and shoulder pain, asthma, carpal tunnel syndrome, gastrointestinal disorders, headaches, migraines, high blood pressure.
Post-Surgical Rehabilitation

In post surgical rehab we help you learn the safest ways to move to after surgery so you don’t injure yourself. In addition, we help you learn exercises to strengthen muscles and increase motion after surgery. The goal with post surgical rehabilitation is to get you moving in the safest way possible.
Conditions Treated: Most areas can be treated to improve movement and range of motion, strengthen muscles, increase balance, reduce pain, help you walk, or relearn daily activities.
Vestibular Rehabilitation

Myofascial Release

Myofascial tissue is the tough membranes that wrap, support and connect your muscles. Sensitivity and tightness in your myofascial tissues can cause chronic pain called Myofascial Pain Syndrome. Myofascial Release focuses on easing the tightness, improving soft tissue function, improving muscle tone, decreasing abnormal movement, and increasing mobility. Your therapist will locate stiff and tight areas called trigger points and add pressure and release pressure. Often these trigger points aren’t located near the actual pain, but do contribute to it.
Conditions Treated: You have myofascial tissue all over your body, so treatment areas vary. Conditions it's known to help with include: neck pain, back pain, Cerebral Palsy, Carpal Tunnel, bladder problems, cervical and lumbar injuries, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, bulging or herniated discs, headaches and migraines, plantar fasciitis, scar tissue build up, sciatica issues and more.
Therapeutic Modalities

Functional Dry Needling (FDN)

Functional Dry Needling® (FDN) involves inserting a tiny monofilament needle in a muscle or muscles. This technique helps release shortened bands of muscles and decrease trigger point activity. This can help resolve pain and muscle tension and will promote healing. This is NOT traditional Chinese Acupuncture. It is instead a medical treatment that relies on a medical diagnosis to be effective. FDN is a valuable and effective treatment for musculoskeletal pain.
Conditions Treated: Musculoskeletal issues in the shoulder, elbow, neck, hip, knee, ankle and low back; migraines; muscle weakness.
Spine Stabilization Rehabilitation

Your physical therapist can help after spine surgery or a spinal injury. Spine Stabilization Rehab addresses pain control, muscle strength, muscle stability, balance, flexibility and mobility.
Conditions Treated: Spine surgery or injury
Graston Technique®
